Last-Minute Printable Christmas Gifts (Instant Download Ideas)

It's December 22, the shops are packed, and shipping cutoffs have come and gone. A printable can be ready in ten minutes: download it, print it, and wrap it up. The trick is turning a PDF into something that feels like a real present.

Below are our favorite printable gift ideas by who you're giving to, plus simple ways to print and present them. We make printables, so some of the ideas use ours, and we've marked those clearly. Plenty of them work with anything, including our free pages.

First: make a printable feel like a gift

A loose stack of copy paper doesn't say "Merry Christmas". A few small upgrades make all the difference:

  • Use better paper. Smooth cardstock (65 to 110 lb) feels substantial and stops markers bleeding through. Most office-supply stores sell it by the pack.
  • Print at the right size. Choose Actual size or Fit to page and your printer's best quality setting. Print one test page before the whole stack.
  • Bind it simply. Two binder clips, a ribbon threaded through hole-punched pages, a pocket folder or a clipboard all turn sheets into a "book". A local print shop can add a spiral binding, often while you wait.
  • Add the tools. A new box of crayons, colored pencils or a few markers tied on with twine makes it a complete kit.
  • Wrap it. Brown kraft paper, string and a handwritten tag look lovely on flat gifts. Our Christmas Eve pack includes printable gift tags if you need some.

A quick, honest note about licenses

Most printables, including ours, come with a personal-use license. That means you can print them for your own household as often as you like, and color them together with family and friends at home. It doesn't cover forwarding the file to another family or handing out stacks of blank printed copies. (Our terms spell this out.)

So the best printable gifts are ones you'll enjoy with someone in your home, finished pieces made from a printable (a colored page is yours to give), or a copy bought for the other person's own household. Want to give one of ours to someone outside your home? Email us at hello@damigopaperco.com before you order and we'll help. For a classroom or group, please ask us first; we're happy to talk.

Printable gifts for kids

  • A countdown coloring kit. Print an Advent coloring book, clip it together and add new crayons. It's a gift that keeps giving for 25 nights. 25 Lit Windows (ours, $6.99) has a short read-aloud story for every night and each scene in a Little Hands and a Big Hands version. It's undated, so it still works if you start late.
  • A Christmas Eve box. New pajamas, a story, a cocoa kit and an activity or two. Our Christmas Eve box guide has the full list, and Christmas Eve on Juniper Lane (ours, $5.99) adds a picture-clue scavenger hunt, a letter to Santa and 8 coloring pages.
  • A free coloring "book". Print our free Christmas coloring pages and free winter coloring pages, bind them with a ribbon and add a cover your child decorates.

Printable gifts for grandparents

  • A colored page, framed. Let the kids color a favorite page, then pop it into an inexpensive frame with the year written on the back. Grandparents tend to treasure these far more than anything from a store.
  • A coloring date. Print two copies of the same page, one for a grandchild and one for a grandparent, and color together on Christmas afternoon or over a video call.
  • Calm coloring for them. If a grandparent enjoys coloring themselves, bold and easy pages with thick lines and bigger spaces are easier on tired eyes than intricate designs. Try our free cozy coloring pages for adults first, and if they're a hit, Cozy Witch Academy (ours, $5.99) has 45 of them. Buy it for their household so the license is theirs.

Printable gifts for teachers

  • A handmade card. A child-colored page folded around a short handwritten note is a genuinely personal thank-you. Add a hot chocolate packet or a gift card if you like.
  • A "class picture" they colored. If your child loves drawing, have them color a page and add the names of a few classmates to the scene.
  • Skip the classroom sets. Printing copies of paid pages for a whole class goes beyond a personal license. If a teacher would love a set, they (or you) can ask the shop about classroom use.

Printable gifts for family night

  • A Christmas Eve hunt. Wrap the first clue of a scavenger hunt as a gift and let the kids follow it around the house to a final surprise.
  • A coloring night in a box. A stack of printed pages, a tin of colored pencils, popcorn and a playlist, plus a "ticket" for a night of coloring together.
  • The whole season at once. The Cozy Christmas Bundle (ours, $10.99) pairs 25 Lit Windows with Christmas Eve on Juniper Lane, so one download covers December 1 through Christmas Eve.

A printable gift for grown-ups

Not every gift needs crayons. A fresh-start budget template can be a thoughtful present for someone who has mentioned wanting to get on top of money in the new year. Only give one if they've asked, though; nobody wants a surprise budget. Our Cozy Cottage Budget Planner (ours, $8.99) is an Excel spreadsheet that can also be imported into Google Sheets, with a monthly budget, bill tracker and debt snowball tab. As with any of our files, buy it for their household.

Last-minute timing

  • Instant downloads arrive in minutes. On Etsy, the files appear in your account right after checkout.
  • No printer? Most print shops and many office-supply stores print from a USB stick or an emailed file the same day.
  • Print a spare. Keep one extra copy of every coloring page for the sibling who wants "the same one".

Our Etsy shop has 20% off everything with code LAUNCH20 through November 30, if you're organized enough to shop early this year.

Our illustrations are made with AI image tools, then picked by our family and cleaned up into line art for coloring. Prices are in US dollars and correct as of October 2026.
